U.S.A ; Michigan,Cleavland and NYC.!

Size 4XL , I'm not even kidding!

Just like every summer , I went to the states . Leaving slightly sad because of having to say Good-bye to a close friend who was moving, I was decided to make the most of my trip this year . I had the great news that I was going to see my adorable 3 year old cousin wich I adore , so that cheered me up .

The thing is ; I hate airplanes. I REALLY don't like them . I get nervous weeks before and sincerely believe I will crash . So , well , my holidays didn't start that well...

Thank god , that changed. I went for 2 weeks ( again , like every year ) to YMCA Storer comps in Michigan . I can't even describe how much I love this place , the people there are amazing , I could go on for hours about it , but i'll just stop here :)

With friends from camp :)

After camp I helped my Uncle( Jim TOWNSEND)'s campain who is running for State Democrat Representative of Michigan by giving out pamphlets and making calls :D AND HE WON THE FIRST ROUND!!!! YEEEAH JIM!

I then went up to my family's old cottage on lake Michigan with cousins , in a residence called '' Pointes aux barques ''. It's a gorgeous kind of secret place , hidden to the outside world in the woods next to the transparent waters . Canoeing, vintage store shopping, disovering the woods and driving the golf carts like mad all over the place (YES ! I can now drive a GOLF CART ! I feel so responsible. ) were in the planning.

After all this , my family & I went to Cleavland where my brother and I went for a whole day to Cedar Point . If you don't know what this is , it's one of the biggest Roller coaster parks in the world. We had a great fun day , and I have to say ; I ALMOST won a giant fluffy gorilla... ALMOOOOST.
The next day we went to the Rock&Roll Music Hall of fame . If you have no idea of who , or what music was before year 2000 , don't go . It's interesting if you like Elvis Presley , Buffalo Springfield , Eric Clapton ( On a sunny afternoon... ) , The kinks ... Wich I do . But it's practicly just alot of clothes , objects and guitares that used to be there's.

Then went to NYC , and loved it again :) But then , how couldn't you ? Was in a nice 'Holiday in' in Soho next to China town , wich was first because I had never been into China town , always around it . Went to Ground Zero wich got me thinking for a while , and then obviously Time square wich was great fun as usual . :)

Seriously , no joke, I went LEVI'S and it is now one of my favorite stores EVER. It is FULL , and when I say this I really mean it , of amazingly hot guys walking around looking for jeans . The people there are so nice & helpfull ( I got complimented on my hair ! ) and the clothes are amazing ( though , I admit expensive . But hey , what are Sales for ? ;) ).

CHOCOLATE FROSTED CUPCAKES

I got pretty popular thanks to this AMAZING cupcakes recipe :D Everbody loves it , and it really isn't that hard to make , so here goes my secret recipe :]

You will need :

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

2 cups granulated sugar

3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

2 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup buttermilk*

2 large eggs

1 cup boiling water

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

*Or substitute by placing 1 tablespoon white vinegar into a measuring cup and adding enough milk to equal 1 cup.

And for the Chocolate Frosting:

1/2 cup butter

2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

3 cups powdered sugar

3 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1. Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line medium muffin cups with paper baking cups.

2. In a large bowl, mix together dry ingredients. Add buttermilk, eggs, water, oil and vanilla and beat on medium speed of mixer for 2 minutes (batter will be thin). Fill cups 2/3 full with batter.

3. Bake for 15 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove cupcakes from pan. Cool completely.

4. For Vanilla Frosting: Beat butter, shortening and vanilla. Add 1 cup powdered sugar; beat until creamy. Add remaining 3 cups powdered sugar alternately with 3 to 4 tablespoons milk, beating to spreading consistency.

5. For Chocolate Frosting: Melt butter; stir in cocoa. Add powdered sugar alternately with milk and vanilla, beating to spreading consistency.

6. Frost cupcakes with your choice of Vanilla Frosting or Chocolate Frosting.

Makes 30 cupcakes.

Abbey Road - Beatles

So as you might not know yet , I am a Beatles fan .

So many countless times i have listened to there classic songs such as ''Hey Jude '', and heard my uncle jam away with his guitar on every single one of there songs. We all remember this unique british group who came over to America and completely revolutionized the music scene. And whoever knows about the Beatles , knows about there most famous album , Abbey road, right ? BUT do you know the secret meaning of this increadibly famous picture?

So the story is that after a recording the band got into a fight. Paul McCartney got really mad , and jumped into his car and sped down the road. While doing this , he spotted a goregous girl (Rita) , and couldn't stop starring at her . He was obviously distracted and didn't see the oncoming car . The rumours goes that Paul crashed into that car and got decapitated. The band then got a McCartney lookalike to do this picture; they felt horrible and left a few messages in their album for Paul.

Here are a few :

• The license plate of the VW says 28IF , wich would of been McCartney's age IF he hadn't died.
  
• They are dressed in such ways (in order) ; John Lennon as a priest, Ringo Starr as an Angel , Paul McCartney as a corpse ( with a cigarette in one hand , and wearing no shoes wich represents death in greece.) and Gearge Harrison as a grave digger.


• Paul has a cigarette in his right hand , BUT was a lefty ; leaving some proof to believe it really isn't him.


• Further on the road a car is driving up , in Paul's direction : Could this symbolisethe accident ? (He also seems to have a crack on his head)

On the back of the album :

• A woman is walking away , wich would be Rita , the woman who distracted Paul.


• There is crack on the wall , wich represents the band breaking up.


• If you connect the dots to the left of the beatles sign , it drws the number 3 ( How many members are left in the band.)
  

BUT , McCartney is still alive . Interesting , huh ? Guess we'll never know if this was the real Paul , or just a lookalike.
